Swimming Named 2025 Spring CSCAA Scholar All-America Team
BUIES CREEK, N.C. — Continuing a tradition of academic excellence, swimming was named 2025 Spring CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, following an outstanding academic performance by Campbell University’s squad.
The recognition comes from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), which honored 763 teams across 432 institutions this spring. Campbell’s women’s swimming team stood out by achieving a record-setting 3.85 GPA during the 2025 spring semester, the highest in program history and the third-best GPA among all NCAA Division I swimming programs.
“Our program has a proud tradition of academic excellence, and our most recent fall and spring team GPAs reflect that commitment,” said head coach Zachary Bagby. “A 3.85 GPA, earned by a team of STEM majors, is a powerful example of what happens when hard work and discipline meet the right conditions.”
Only Miami (FL) with a 3.89 and Kansas with an identical 3.85 GPA narrowly edged out Campbell’s performance.
To qualify for the Swimming named 2025 Spring CSCAA Scholar All-America Team designation, programs were required to post a minimum GPA of 3.00 during the spring semester. Campbell far exceeded that mark with a roster of dedicated student-athletes pursuing rigorous academic paths, particularly in science and engineering disciplines.
The recognition places Campbell among the elite in the nation for combining athletic competition with high academic achievement. In total, 18,459 student-athletes from men’s and women’s swimming programs were honored by CSCAA this semester.
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA continues its mission to advance collegiate swimming and diving by spotlighting programs that show excellence in both the pool and the classroom.
Campbell’s achievement as swimming named 2025 Spring CSCAA Scholar All-America Team reinforces the university’s commitment to supporting student-athletes who excel beyond athletics.
