Three Hawks Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Alongside Women’s Track & Field Squad
NEW ORLEANS, La. — In a celebration of both athletic and academic excellence, three Hawks were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, along with the women’s track & field team, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The annual USTFCCCA All-Academic program honors the nation’s top NCAA Division III student-athletes and teams who demonstrate exceptional achievement in both academics and competition. To qualify as All-Academic Athletes, individuals must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.30 and either place in the top 50 nationally or compete on one of the top 35 relay teams. Teams must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.10.
Three Hawks Earn Individual Academic Honors
The three Hawks recognized this year include:
- Tamara Greene (Freshman, Hartford, Conn.)
Greene earned All-Region honors in the 100-meter hurdles and made the CNE All-Conference Second Team in both hurdles and the 4×100 meter relay. Her standout debut earned her Hartford’s Female Newcomer of the Year award. - Jordan Murphy (Sophomore, East Hampton, Conn.)
Murphy was honored in high jump and multi-events (pentathlon and heptathlon) for both indoor and outdoor seasons. Ranked 16th nationally in the indoor high jump, she secured First Team CNE All-Conference recognition and was also named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team. - Cali Leonard (Senior, Boston, Mass.)
Leonard holds school records in the 60m hurdles (9.08) and 100m hurdles (14.36). She was awarded All-Region honors and earned both First and Second Team CNE All-Conference distinctions. Off the track, she was also recognized as a CSC Academic All-District and CNE Academic All-Conference honoree.
Team Recognition Reflects Academic Strength
Beyond individual accolades, the women’s track & field team was also named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team with an impressive cumulative GPA of 3.38, reflecting a consistent commitment to academic excellence across the program.
